CCS 2011-2012
Semester One

CHAMPION OF CHARACTER
Brett Vogt
Kindergarten Student

The Copenhagen Central School Board of Education is looking for ways to recognize students who exhibit exemplary character throughout the school year.  Nominations are accepted by the Board for one elementary and one secondary champion of character per semester.  Any community or staff member may nominate a student for the award.

Brett R. Vogt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Vogt and a member of the kindergarten class, has been selected as the first semester elementary “Champion of Character” award winner.  He will be recognized by our Board of Education at the January Board Meeting.

Brett was caught being a Champion of Character at Copenhagen Central School. The Community/staff member that nominated Brett stated:

“Brett is an outstanding individual who is ready and willing to help out not only me but the students around him. He does this through the kindness in his heart, not for the recognition. I often catch him helping others with any little thing like picking up spilled crayons or leading Johnny down the hall in the right direction. He is patient with his classmates when they ask him to share and always is listening when directions are given. He can be trusted to deliver messages in the hallway without going astray or running. Brett deserves this recognition because of the powerful presence he exudes for doing the right thing. He gently leads the class to positive participation just by being the kind, gentle and respectful soul he is.”
