Student class schedules are now viewable in the eSchool student portals. Students in grades 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 wishing to view their schedules, may now log onto the student portal. Schedules for students entering grades 6 and 9 will be available at orientation next week.
Please be advised, the schedules are incomplete. Study halls, resource room, and some AIS classes have not yet been assigned. Each student will receive a new complete schedule on the first day of school.
If you’re unable to access your student portal due to internet connectivity, you may call the Counseling Center to request a schedule be mailed. If you are unable to access your portal due to a password problem, please contact Mrs. Shambo.
Questions or concerns about your schedule may be directed to the Counseling Center.
5th Grade Parent/Student KnightPad Meeting
A special meeting for incoming 5th Graders and their parents will be held during Open House - Tuesday, September 1, at 6:00 pm in room 163. The purpose of the meeting is to share the details of the “CCS KnightPad Program” and how it impacts your child. More information on this is available here.
Two online COLLEGE LEVEL courses will again be available to interested high school students from Jefferson County or Copenhagen Central School. SUNY Jefferson is offering Energy and the Environment and SUNY Canton is offering Sustainable Building. Tuition and books for both 3 credit hour courses will be paid with funds through the Cooperative Energy Education Program (CEEP). For more information, click on the course titles. Order forms will be available with your child's teacher during Open House. If you are unable to attend Open House, they will be send home the first day of school. Additional order forms are available in the Main Office. If your child misses picture day, re-takes are scheduled for October 21st.
In accordance with NYSED Regulations, starting in September of the 2015-2016 school year, there will be an increase in school breakfast and lunch prices. Breakfast will now be $1.35 and lunch will be $2.00. Parent/guardian(s) are encouraged to fill out the Free/Reduced Lunch Application form which can be found in the upcoming September Newsletter or click HERE for a printable application. Please feel free to call school for copy too.
As we begin the 2015-2016 school year, students who wish to drive to school MUST fill out and return a driving privilege form to the Main Office. This form must be signed by both the student and the parent. The student will be given a student parking permit to display in their window.
Students who drive are expected to drive in a reasonable manner. A student is not to return to his/her vehicle during school hours without permission. Students who wish to ride to school with another student must provide written parental permission to the principal in advance.
Students will park in the student parking lot only.
Any student who does not drive in a reasonable manner and jeopardizes the safety of themselves and others will have their driving permit revoked. The student’s parent/guardian will also be notified. Any serious violations may result in a referral to law enforcement.
